Richard Wayne Weaver, 79 of Canton, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 peacefully at home with his family. Per his wishes there will be no formal service, however, his ashes will later be interred at Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton.
Richard was born December 4, 1940 in Follansbee, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Essie Mae Whited Weaver. He served as a medic for the United States Air Force. He retired from Valley Health Services – Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, Virginia after over 20 years of service. He also enjoyed living in Virginia, Mississippi and Georgia. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Mae Wilson Weaver and by his four (4) siblings, Mary C. Tabor, Raymond L. Weaver, Ralph E. Weaver, Sr. and Jean McClanahan.
Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley Marilyn Weaver of Canton, GA and by his two (2) children Wayne Weaver and wife Meredith of Mississippi, Rusty Weaver and wife Dionne of Mississippi and four (4) step-children Brian Henderson of Virginia, Dawn Mitchell and husband Lee of Indiana, Pamela Browning and husband James of Georgia, Paulette Henderson of Virginia; 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many foster kids he thought of as sons and daughters.
His final wishes were that there be no official service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Lung Association www.americancancerfund.org/donate/lung.cancer in honor of Richard W. Weaver.
