A native of Apple Creek, Ohio, Patricia was born to the late Lester and Helen Lockwood on July 21, 1932. She was one of two children. Her family later grew to include her five children, Paula, Chris, Holly, Betsy and Laurie, followed by their children.
Besides being a proud mother and grandmother, Patricia had a great love for people, animals and laughter. She deeply treasured her friends. She had served as a Greek Housemother to various sororities and fraternities throughout the years leaving an impression on countless young adults. She also had her dogs, whom she considered her “furry children,” that she loved and cared for. No matter if she was enjoying music, reading books, traveling or talking progressive politics, Patricia would find a way to tie in her great sense of humor. She loved making people laugh and telling jokes. She also showed talent in her quilting abilities and gifted pieces to her family throughout the years.
Patricia Ann Lockwood is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Helen (Hood) Lockwood, and her brother, Lester “Les” Lockwood. She is survived by her son, Chris Bidle and his wife, Lynda, of Ipswich, Massachusetts; daughters, Paula Bidle and her husband, Bud, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Holly Bidle of Paonia, Colorado, Betsy Campbell and her husband, Gary, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Laurie Cordak and her husband, Brian, of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren, Maggie, Lisa, Ben, Juliet, David, Charlie, Molly, Terra and Christina; great grandchildren, Isabelle, Oskar, Summer, Alina, Natalia, Desmond and Will; niece, Crystal Lockwood of Vallejo, California; sister in law, Janelle Lockwood of California; and nephew, David Lockwood of Alaska to cherish her memory.
