Marilyn Wiggins Wall, 85, of Woodstock, GA passed away September 22, 2014. Born in Falmouth, Kentucky to the late Leland Crecelius Wiggins and Alma Lillian Daugherty Wiggins, she was blessed to be married to the late James “Jim” Dansby Wall for 51 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathi and Gregg Fly, Woodstock, GA, son and daughter-in-law Danny and Pam Wall Roswell, GA, grandchildren, Charles Wall, Jacqueline Smith, Bryan Fly, Lora Beavers, Jenny Phillipoff, Kelly Fly, and Ben Fly, great grandchildren Tai, Sawyer, Sutton, Silas and sister, Barbara Andrews and husband Ronnie. After graduating from Knoxville High School, she worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, TN. She was one of the original "Atomic City Girls". Marilyn then transferred to Atlanta to work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she met her future husband. They moved to Stone Mountain to raise their family and became founding members of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. Marilyn and Jim moved to Woodstock in 1994 and joined Hillside United Methodist Church in Towne Lake where Marilyn continued to be an active and faithful member of her Sunday School Class, Hugs, Joy group, and Bible Studies. She traveled extensively with her husband and friends. Marilyn loved theatre, reading, and Braves baseball. She remained active into her 80's with exercise, water aerobics, and Tai Chi classes where she made many friends. She loved her family the most and was happiest bringing the whole family together. She was a truly remarkable woman who was and will continue to be an inspiration to her family and friends by the way she chose to live life to the fullest making the most of each day! A memorial service will be held at Hillside United Methodist Church October 4th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hillside United Methodist Church, 4474 Towne Lake Pkwy, Woodstock, GA 30189.
