Margaret "Peggy" Leary

Peggy was born on October 15, 1935 in Acton, Massachusetts to Allan and Doris (Scribner) Cameron.

Peggy graduated from Acton High School in 1953. After raising a family, she spent many years as an Executive Assistant at Polaroid Corporation before retiring to her lake house in Shapleigh, Maine. While in Maine, Peggy and husband Fred were very active playing golf, boating, motorcycling, snowmobiling and enjoying family.

Peggy and Fred moved to Lakeland, Florida in 2001 where they enjoyed playing golf, playing marbles, and spending time with friends. Peggy lost Fred in 2018 and after COVID, moved to Woodstock, Georgia in 2021 to be closer to her family, especially enjoying the arrival of two great grandchildren and embracing the Woodstock lifestyle.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Norma Goershel of Woodstock Georgia, grandsons Cameron Goershel, Christopher (Courtney) Goershel and great-grandchildren Catherine Goershel and Carter Goershel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Leary, son Paul Goershel and sister Jean Krause.

Our family extends special thanks to the staff at Canterfield of Kennesaw, her physicians, and the staff at Agape Hospice for their care and support.

A private Celebration of Peggy's life will be held at a later date.
