Leria Jean Ford, 67, of Woodstock, GA went home to the loving arms of Jesus on August 30, 2019. Leria was born on December 3, 1951 in Trezvant, TN. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1970. Leria enjoyed a career spanning 20 years with Mail-Well Envelopes and recently worked at Walmart as a Customer Service Representative. Leria was a devout Christian. When she lived in Denver, CO she was an active member of Salem Baptist Church. In Woodstock, she found her church home at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was involved with the Young at Heart Ministry. She made friends everywhere she went and was loved by so many. Leria was a loving mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend. She is going to be deeply missed by those who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marcy Mucheke and her husband Simon; granddaughter, Danielle Mucheke; mother, Flora Strayhorn; brother, Glenn Strayhorn; and sister, Sherry Jackson. Leria was preceded in death by her father, Ulus Strayhorn and brothers, Ulus and James Strayhorn. A memorial service to celebrate Leria’s home going will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 12:00pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 131 Mill St,, Woodstock, GA 30188.
