Leonard Harvey Snyder

Mr. Leonard H. “Len” Snyder, 88, passed away in Canton, Georgia on December 5, 2016. Len was born on January 23, 1928 to the late Marion and Leonard Snyder. Len graduated from Williamson Trade School in Media, PA. A few years later Len joined the United States Army and served honorably from 1950 to 1954. After the service he had a 39 year career as a Tool and Dye maker. Len and his family resided in Levittown, PA for 42 years and were members of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Len and his wife, Marion retired to New Port Richey, Florida in 2000. There they were active members of Hope Lutheran Church in Hudson, Florida. In 2015, they moved to Woodstock, Georgia to be close to their grandchildren. Len leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Marion Snyder, sons, Glenn Snyder of Bristol, Pennsylvania and Steven Snyder (Lisa) of Levittown, Pennsylvania, daughter, Kristin West (Brian) of Woodstock, Georgia and grandchildren, Jason, Alyssa and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Snyder. A service at Emmaus Road Lutheran Church in Levittown, Pennsylvania will be Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30am. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00am for a coffee and Danish reception. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
