Larry was devoted to his greatest love, his wife Mary. Mary and Larry began their love story as juniors at Dunedin High School and they never looked back. They dated all through college at the University of Florida culminating with their wedding on Flag Day, June 14th, 1975. He always counted himself lucky to have Mary in his life along with his three sons - Matt, Jon and Luke. Larry loved playing golf, especially with “his boys”, and was an avid Florida Gators fan. His young grandchildren were the light of his life – he treasured them with all his heart. He enjoyed traveling across the US and Europe with Mary and spending time with his family and friends at the beach. Larry will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Larry leaves to cherish in his memory, wife, Mary Friesen; sons, Matthew Friesen, Jon (Ginger) Friesen, Luke (Julie) Friesen; grandchildren, Mary Margaret Friesen, Chase Friesen, Riley Friesen; sister, Stephanie (Greg) Hoogerwerf; sister-in-law, Jane Friesen; niece, Lisa Gililung; and nephews Joshua Hoogerwerf and Robert Friesen.
