Kenneth Roberts

Mr. Roberts was born to the late Elzie Roberts and the late Ruth Moon Roberts on April 15, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had three brothers, J.W., Donald and Charles, and one sister, Wilma.

Mr. Roberts had served as a police officer for Cobb County for 27 years until retiring in 1992. He was also a U.S. Airforce Veteran and had previously worked at Woodstock Elementary for 9 years as everyone's favorite custodian.

He was a humble man who enjoyed caring for others. He was a hard worker and enjoyed staying busy. Between working and raising his family, Mr. Roberts could be found piddling in the yard or working on the house.

Mr. Roberts leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Kay Roberts of Woodstock, Georgia; daughter, Kim Townsend and her husband, Freddie, of Woodstock, Georgia; brothers, Donald Roberts and his wife, Sybil, of Jenks, Oklahoma and J.W. Roberts and his wife, Yoryeah, of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Heather, Hannah, Hunter and Hayden Townsend and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at noon with Pastor Dennis McKoy and Pastor Jack Henry officiating. Committal Services will follow at 2:30 pm at the Georgia National Cemetery with Pastor Justin Holcomb officiating.
