My beautiful Angel, Kathryn Ann Stone, ascended to Heaven in the early morning hours of April 19th 2024 at the age of 63 after struggling with cancer for a number of years. She will be forever missed because she brought so much Love and light to the world and to everyone that knew her.
Born in Saint Paul Minnesota on Friday, May 20, 1960, to parents Orvel and Myrtle Johnson, she thrived there until she graduated from high school and decided to venture into the unknown and pursue her dreams. She moved across the country to Atlanta Georgia where she attended college and ultimately rose very quickly through the ranks of a very prestigious insurance company. And in Atlanta she eventually met her soul mate, Robert Stone, the man that became her husband and her dearest friend for life. It is also where she touched the hearts of Robert's parents, Irving and Shirley as well as the rest of his family. They shared their lives and their Love together in Atlanta for a while, then moved near the beach in Charleston, South Carolina where their first child was born, Christopher James, where they also enjoyed long walks on the beach and sunsets over the ocean, dreaming of what life had in store and what the future would bring. Eventually, they moved back to Kathy's hometown, Brainerd Minnesota, where they were blessed with a second child, Samantha Nicole. And where they were also able to spend time with all of her family, including her sister, Bonnie and her brother, Scott. A few years later, Seeking warmer weather they moved back to Atlanta where Kathy started to professionally pursue her life-long passion of creating art. From breathtaking portraits to a variety of painting styles to watercolors, the boundaries seemed limitless. And in Atlanta they remained for decades to come with family, with friends, pursuing adventures of many kinds, enjoying the fullest and most cherished years of their lives.
As far as her family is concerned, there has never been a better friend, a more loving companion or a better mother to her children than Kathy. The world was a better, brighter, more meaningful place with her by our side. Goodbye for now my sweet Angel, we will be together again. You were the absolute Love of my life!
Forever yours,
Robert.
