Joan Ethel Smith

Joan Littler Smith born on March 31, 1937, passed away on August 8, 2013. Joan was born in the town of Vienna, New York. She was the daughter of the late Doris (Greggains) and LeRoy Littler. She was a devoted teacher who taught First grade at Woodstock Elementary School for 34 years until her retirement in 1999. She was also a member of Hickory Flat United Methodist Church. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Diane Smith of Douglasville, GA and Donna Stallard of West Point VA. She is also survived by three brothers, one sister and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, 8/12, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 8/13/2013, at 3:00 pm at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hickory Flat United Methodist Church.
