Joan Ethel Pongetti

Joan was born March 9, 1931, in Danbury, CT. The daughter of the late Edward D. Donnelley, Sr. and Margaret “Ethel” (Seeba) Donnelley. She was a long-time resident of Ridgefield, CT before moving to Roanoke, VA and Woodstock, GA.

Joan is survived by her children: Linda Jennings of Danbury, CT, Carol Sousa (Brian) of New Bern, NC, Gary Pongetti (Phyllis) of Dallas, GA, Judy Cassidy (Harry) of Woodstock, GA and Chris Pongetti of Woodstock, GA, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews and friends.

Joan was predeceased by her brother Edward D. Donnelley, Jr, her sister Betty Lou Galante and her nephew Edward J. Donnelley.

Joan was a great cook, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend. She loved playing cards and enjoyed watching NFL Football with her family and friends.

Memorial services on October 17, 2023, were handled by the Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA. Joan was laid to rest with her husband Adrian of 73 years in The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
