Jean Helen Sammond, 90, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, in Sugar Hill, Georgia. She was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1934, in Queens, New York to Vincent Intili and Virginia Stabile. Jean was a 1952 graduate of Richmond Hills High School in Queens, New York.
Jean was a loving and caring wife and mother and she enjoyed playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling on cruises with her husband George. She was an exceptional cook and her delicious Italian food and homemade pasta will be missed.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, George Sammond; her son, Peter Sammond; her parents, Vincent and Virginia Intili; and her brother William Intili.
Jean is lovingly survived by her two sons, Michael (Tracy) Sammond of Braselton, Georgia, and Christopher (Erika) Sammond of Cincinnati, Ohio; her five grandchildren, Tony (Mellanie) Sammond, Camryn Sammond, Noah Sammond, Connor Sammond, and Chloe Sammond; one great grandson, Leonardo Sammond; and by her sister, Constance Tirico.
A service for Jean will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 12:00pm, at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia, 30188. Immediately following the service, Jean will be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth, Georgia.
