Jimmy was a simple man. He enjoyed taking his yearly trips with his family to go camping and fishing. He liked to spend his time watching James Bond movies and listening to any type of rock music. He graduated from Paulding County High School in 1975 and started working for Display Works. Jimmy wore many different hats within the company. He worked in many different areas while remaining within the same company for almost twenty years before his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Carnes. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Harold) Smith; sisters, Dianna (Richard) Price and Julie (Ralph) Marques; nieces, Emily Marques, Katelin Marques and Jessica Price; and nephew, Michael Price.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Woodstock Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, September 13, 2018 from four o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening and Friday, September 14, 2018 from eleven o’clock in the morning until two in o’clock in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s name to the American Cancer Society.
