Jacqueline Slough Cunningham, age 94, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Cumming, Georgia. Born on May 16, 1930, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Admiral Slough and Myrtle Oseth, Jacqueline lived a life full of faith, family, and joy.
A proud full-blooded Norwegian, Jacqueline was known for her vibrant spirit, her deep love for Jesus, and her devotion to those around her. She read the Bible in its entirety 29 times and found great strength and community among her Bible study friends. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she joyfully shared it with everyone she met.
Jacqueline loved her family fiercely, cherishing every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was always stylish — never seen without her hair and nails perfectly done, her fashionable outfits complete with her signature snazzy glasses. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, and she had an incredible eye for fashion.
She often spoke lovingly of her late husband, William Stewart Cunningham, and her faith in Jesus. Jacqueline also loved traveling, experiencing new places and cultures, reading, and enjoying sweets. She worked for 23 years as a chiropractic assistant, where she brought warmth and care to everyone she served.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Stewart Cunningham, and her parents, Admiral and Myrtle Slough. She is survived by her four sons: Chris (Brenda) Sather, Addie (Bonnie) Cunningham, Jack (Susan) Sather, and Stewart (Theresa) Cunningham II. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Jacqueline’s life was a shining example of faith, love, and elegance. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
