Mr. Don "Tim" Timothy Downey

Mr. Don "Tim" Timothy Downey, age 61, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Born in Knoxville, TN, Tim was the son of the late Don and Bobbie Downey, and the brother of the late Todd Downey.

Tim was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock and worked for Chart Industries.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Teresa Downey; His son, Don Taylor(Mandi) Downey; His daughter, Ashlee(David) Odom; His sisters, Tami(Tim) Kinnersley and Traci(Ray) Boyce; and his 5 grandchildren, Kynlee Odom, Karlee Odom, Reagan Downey, Evelyn Downey, and Stetson Downey. He loved his family and spending time with his grandkids who knew him as “Papaw”. In his free time, he enjoyed deer hunting and looking for recipes to try as he was a grill master! Tim enjoyed going to church and just being with people in general. He loved to talk and fellowship with anyone and everyone. Tim loved the Lord and visibly had the light of the Lord in him for everyone to see. He was a sweet, sweet man who will be missed dearly.

A visitation for Tim will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park, 10655 E Cherokee Dr, Canton, GA 30115.
