Debbie was a strong, independent person who enjoyed the great outdoors. She loved being surrounded by nature – mountains, rivers, creeks, seeing the sunset, being surrounded by butterflies or smelling the daisies and morning glories (her favorite flowers). She enjoyed fishing and loved riding Harley Davidsons with her dad.
Debbie loved her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother and the best “Maw Maw” any grandchild could wish for.
Debbie is survived by her first love, Mark Edward Anderson of Franklin; children, Melissa Nicole Cummings and her husband, Joshua, of Carrolton and Kyle Edward Anderson and his significant other, Callie June Cooper, of Dallas; mother, Delona T. Griffin of Adairsville; father, James David Walston of St. Pete's Beach, FL; sisters, Jennifer Copeland and her husband, Russell, of Cumming and Shannon Griffin Bradford and her husband, David, of Shelbyville, TN; brother, Jason Travis Griffin of Acworth; grandchildren, Kaylee Cummings, Joshua “Bubba” Cummings Jr., Levi Cummings, Jaxxon Cummings, Mason Cummings, Khloee Cummings, Waylon Anthony Anderson and Skyler Bonnie-Lou Anderson; nieces and nephews, Brian Copeland and his wife, Stacey, Jaclyn Lloyd and her husband, Jordan, Jacob Copeland, Hannah Copeland, Noah Copeland and Alexandria Bradford; and a host of loving cousins.
Debbie is preceded in death by her daddy, Anthony Griffin, and grandmother, Bess Griffin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm and again from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Magnolia Room at Woodstock Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Reese Memorial Chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Driskell officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Kyle Edward Anderson, Travis Griffin, Mark Edward Anderson, Mike Martel, Brian Copeland, Nathan Turner, Matt Martel, Michael Martel, Jacob Copeland and Noah Copeland.
