Dana Leigh McCollum

Dana had a bubbly personality and made friends everywhere she went. She had the ability to brighten up a room and make others laugh. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and the mountains, jewelry making and roller skating. She also had a love of sports – her favorite teams include the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs and the Redskins.

Dana worked as an office manager for Premier Dental Care of Buckhead. She had a fascination with dental forensics and had attended the annual Hinman meetings in Atlanta.

Above all else, Dana loved her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.

Dana Leigh McCollum is preceded in death by her husband of 11 years, Robert “Mac” McCollum, and father, Dennis Chewning. Her memory will be cherished by her mother, Cindi Moore (Teddy); children, Jessica Hall (Chris), Josh Kurtz (Chelsea) and Matt McCollum; grandchildren, Aaron, William and Scarlet; brothers, Ken Chewning (Michelle), Darren Chewning and John Swiger (Rachel); fiancé, Corey Hardin; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188. A celebration of life service will follow in the Reece Memorial Chapel at 3:00 pm.
