

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Claudia Stauder, 59, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 with her family by her side at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia after her second battle with cancer.
She was born on November 25, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York to Harriet Raab and August Wengert. Her father was in the US Navy and died of a heart attack in 1963. Her mother was later remarried to Walter Lee. She was raised in her family home in Howard Beach, Queens, New York along with three brothers and three sisters. On September 5, 1970 she married Edward Stauder, aka “Dutch” and moved to upstate New York just outside of Kingston, where they raised two daughters together. They later moved to Woodstock Georgia in 1999 to be close to their two children. Claudia was in banking for many years and her last job was at Travelport as a Cash and Credit Analyst, which she loved.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2011 at 4:00pm at the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Hunter officiating. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams St. NW #6000, Atlanta, GA 30303.
Survivors include her husband; Dutch, Woodstock, GA; two daughters, Jennifer L. Hershberger (Todd) Woodstock, GA., Jacqueline W. Riley (John) Woodstock, GA.; her mother, Harriet Lee, Howard Beach, NY.; three sisters, Wendy Gavin, Honesdale, PA., Laura Karl (Gary), Howard Beach, NY., Kristine Heacock, Tafton, PA.; one sister-in-law, Dolores Cremer (Karl), Charlotte, NC.; seven grandchildren, Emma and Danny Hershberger, and Laura, Cole, Meghan, James, and Ethan Riley; and 15 nieces and nephews.
