Cecil was born in Wayne County, Georgia on July 11, 1944 to the late Lester O’Neal and the late Roselee Wilder O’Neal. He had been a resident of Gardi, Georgia for eighteen years before moving to Screven, Georgia. Cecil was a member of Jesup Church of God of Prophecy and a retired truck driver. He leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Cecil’s parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Jessie O’Neal and Ernest O’Neal, sister Joyce Strickland.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife Nellie Ruth O’Neal: three sisters Lois O’Neal, Evelyn Campbell, and Margie Blackmon; a brother Tommy O’Neal and wife Joan, and other family members.
The O'Neal family will receive friends from 10:00AM – 11:00AM on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Jesup Church of God of Prophecy, 937 U.S. 301 Jesup, Georgia 31546, followed by a funeral service with Reverend Gary Rawls officiating. Pallbearers include: Jimmy McQuaig, Lyle Ryals, Chad Bailey, Michael O’Neal, Kody O’Neal, and Tommy O’Neal.
A second visitation will occur from 10:00AM – 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188 followed by a funeral service in the Reece Memorial Chapel with Pastor J.A. Martin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cherokee Memorial Park, 120 Memorial Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, Georgia and Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia.
