Mrs. Reece was one of seven children born to the late Fred Richard Castleberry and the late Gladys (Bentley) Castleberry on October 20, 1941 in Marietta, Georgia.
Mrs. Reece was sassy, determined and strong willed. You always knew where you stood with her because she always meant what she said. She had a way of making others listen to her and always got her point across. She enjoyed the comforts of home while watching her favorite shows and snacking on cheese and crackers. She was family oriented and found joy in spending time with her great-grandchildren. "Granny" had such a soft heart for her little babies.
Mrs. Reece is preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Walter Reece, and second husband, J.W. Reece. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Tim Reece and his wife, Shannon Melinda Wheeler, Tammy Wilson and her husband, Bobby Dixson, Freda Neighbors, Rita Thomason and Joe Reece and his wife, Laurianna Reece; grandchildren, Ricky Reece, Nicole Dotson and her husband, Derrick Dotson, Tracy Wilson and her husband, Deion Fair and Shannon Ritter; and great-grandchildren, Layla Fair, Aaliyah Fair, Mason Dotson, Kensley Dotson, Billy Ritter, Tommy Ritter and Johnny Ritter.
Mrs. Reece's family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188. A second visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 9:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm in the Reece Memorial Chapel. Pastor Chris Akins will be officiating her services. Committal Services will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery 950 Mansell Road Roswell, Georgia 30076.
