It is with great sadness the family of Audrey Greer Evans shares her passing on October 14, 2022. Audrey spent the week being celebrated and surrounded by those she loved for her 95th birthday. Born October 11, 1927 in Memphis, TN, Audrey, affectionately called “Tiny”, grew up with her family until marrying Paul “Chad” Evans in 1947. Together, they settled in Atlanta, GA where they raised their daughters, Linda and Patricia. Her career spanned numerous companies; however, her impact was rooted in the friendships she formed while working.
In 1996, Audrey moved to Towne Lake in Woodstock, GA where her daughters Linda Pritchett (Bob) and Trish Skalak (Meyer) live. Audrey quickly became a part of our community becoming a friendly face to all of those she interacted with. From joining the Fellowship Sunday School Class at Hillside United Methodist Church to also volunteering in the library at the local schools, Audrey’s infectious laugh and joyous presence was seen everywhere she was. Audrey always maintained an active social calendar and was a member of several bridge clubs and the “Book Babes Book Club”.
Her truest joy in life was being “Niny” to her grandchildren, Stephanie O’Dell (Britten) of Woodstock, GA, Jonathan Pritchett (Hollie) of Homewood, AL, Hope Skalak and Jennifer Skalak of Atlanta, GA. She was also adored by her great-grandchildren Peyton, Jack, Sam and Molly O’Dell and Max Pritchett.
To be known by Audrey was to be loved, and that is joy in which we all celebrate and rest in together.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband (Paul “Chad” Evans), her parents Harry and Cecil Greer, her sister Rebecca Aikens (Marvin) and her brother Art Greer (Margaret) of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by her niece Bitsy Siano of Memphis, TN and nephews Marvin Aikens (Betty) of Portland, OR and Harry Aikens of Memphis, TN and many cherished friends.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home on October 19, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Hillside United Methodist Church on October 20, 2022 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to M.U.S.T Ministries.
