Alice Hopkins Chastain

Miss. Alice Hopkins Chastain, 69, of Woodstock, GA passed away August 9, 2016. Alice was born on May 12, 1947 in Atlanta, GA. She attended the University of West Georgia. Alice retired from the EPA after 28 years. She loved fishing, painting and gambling (her favorite place was Biloxi, MS). But Alice’s daughters and grandchildren were her first love. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was extremely generous and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her father, Hoy Hopkins and brother Hoy Clifford Hopkins, Jr. Alice leaves behind her daughters, Roxie Williams (Maurice son in-law) and Heather Reese, grandchildren, Christian, DeVon, Skyler and Kendra, fiancée of 8 years, James Bartlett, mother, Lois Chestnut and brothers, Michael and Patrick Chestnut, niece Rebecca Chestnut and nephew Zach Chestnut. A celebration of Alice’s life will be Tuesday, August 16 at 11:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home.
