Tyler Patrick Johnson

born in Queens, New York on April 23, 1956 to Lorenzo Johnson and Patricia Georges.Tyler grew up in Queensbridge Houses, and as a childhe attended Saint Rita's elementary school. He grew up with a strong passion for competitive sports, with basketball being amongst his favorite. While in his early 20's, Tyler obtained his Associates Degree in Social Sciences. A few years later he obtained his Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences, and by his mid 30's he graduated with another degree, a Bachelor of Science in Health. Tyler put his education to good use,becoming a managing social worker at a homeless shelter, in the Brooklyn Armory. Tyler held residences in Queens,Brooklyn and the Bronx, making many friends along the way.He was very friendly and outgoing. He will be missed by everyone. Tyler's father, Lorenzo Johnson passed away in August 1977.Tyler is survived by his mother, Patricia Johnson, and his only son, Tyler L. Johnson. He is also survived by his wife, Vita Johnson and their daughter, Nailah Johnson. And last but not least, Tyler is survived by his triplet daughters, Shatyra Johnson, Shantell Johnson, and Sharifa Johnson. A memorial service will be held in Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday October 24, 2012 from 2-5:00pm for viewing and 7-9:00pm for memorial service...Private cremation service will take place on Thursday October 25th, 2012.
