Sheila T. McDermott

Sheila Cody McDermott passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on December 5, 2021, at the age of 84.

Sheila was a lifelong Woodside resident, St. Sebastian parishioner and longtime member of St. Sebastian Catholic Daughters of America.

Sheila was the beloved wife of the late Edward, the devoted mother of Jean Marie, Stephen and his wife Cheryl, Kevin and his wife Stacey, Lisa and her husband Anthony. She was the loving grandmother to Jennifer, Daniel, Jacqueline, Christopher, Jessica, Devin, Bridgette, Megan, Caroline, Ryan, Katie and Amanda, and the cherished great grandmother to Olivia, Charlotte, Declan, Juliette, Christopher and Cali. Sheila was also the dear sister of Kathleen Reid, Michael Cody and the late Moira Klich and Stephen Cody.

visitation for Sheila will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home, 41- 45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard, Woodside, NY 11377. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, 58-02 Roosevelt Ave, Woodside, NY 11377.
