Robert Thompson Sr.

Robert Thompson, son of the late John Robert Thompson and Esther Louise Thompson, was born August 6th 1949 in Brooklyn, New York. Robert departed this earthly life and entered into peaceful sleep in death on Saturday, August 3rd 2013.

Robert was educated in the New York Public School System and attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York. Robert was employed and retired from M. Hiller and Sons after thirty years.

At an early age he met and married Cassandra Thompson. This union was blessed with four children.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories his two daughters, Ramona Coleman (Dennis) of Jacksonville, NC and Chelsea Thompson of Long Island City, NY; his two sons, Robert Thompson Jr. of Long Island City, NY and Lamont Thompson of Long Island City, NY; his ex-wife, Cassandra Thompson; eight grandchildren, Izaha Thompson, Sha-Venus Thompson, Nia Coleman, Kiarah Thompson, Tramell Thompson, NiAsia Coleman, Sariyah Thompson, and Taylor Howard; one great grandson, Nazir Parker; four sisters, Connie Jones (Keith) of Brodheadsville, PA, Linda Straker (Dunston) of Brooklyn, NY, Cheryl Thompson of Jacksonville, NC and Barbara Thompson of Warrenton, NC; one brother, George Thompson who preceded him in death; two aunts, Beatrice Smith of Jamaica, NY and Dorothy Mae Butler of Philadelphia, PA; two loving companions, Donna Sewell of LIC, NY and Lorraine Rhodes of Jamaica, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and many many friends.
