Dear Peter,
I didn't know you left this earth.  When we worked at Sony (you at Corp. and me at Music), you were such a kind soul.  Always happy, kind and friendly.  Always stopped by my desk to say something pleasant.  After I left Sony Music, you were really the only person at the company remaining, who called me often to check on me.  When you no longer called, I thought it was just life that you were living and was occupied with something else.  I cherish our friendship dear Peter and hope and pray that you are happy somewhere is heaven.

I just found out about Peter's passing tonight.  I searched his name to see if I could find and contact him but unfortunately discovered the sad news about his passing.  Peter Mudra completely changed my life.  I met him very early January 2000, right at the start of the new millennium.  He unselfishly helped me move to the NYC area and make a better life for myself.  I can honestly say that he was a dear friend who taught me so much about life in general.  He also helped me adapt to a new way of life when I moved to NYC.  Amongst all the fun we had in those early and few months we lived together, I remember wearing a construction hat he had in his house while he proceeded to hit me on the head with a baseball bat.  His sister Chris walked in and was appalled. But we just laughed so hard about that and so many things in general.  We lost touch over the years, but I never forgot his selfless ways.  He always took care of me and and made sure i was "In Line".  I miss you my friend.  I pray for your family as I know they have lost someone who is chrished but could never be replaced.

L. Frank Baum must have had such a gentle soul as Peter in mind when he penned this quote from  The Wizard of Oz.  With deepest condolences to his family and friends. The love will never fade from memory and I can imagine Peter smiling brightly and feeling it from the summit of Heaven.  REQUIESCANT IN PERPETUA PACE. 

My heart goes out to the family of Peter Mudra.  I worked at Sony Music and Peter always came by to chat.  He was so sweet and funny.  I miss those moments.  When I left the company, we kept in touch for a while.  He was such a kind soul.  God bless him.  I’m so sorry for your loss.

Peter’s sense of humor and laughter will be greatly missed. Gone but not forgotten.

Peter’s departure was a tornado
that developed in secrecy 
and swept through without warning
destroying everything in its path 
leaving us in ruins.

But rebuild we shall for rebuild we must,
for lying deep beneath the rubble,
Peter has left behind memories 
forged of love
so as he watches from above
we’ll arm ourselves with shovels 
to dispense with the debris of loss
and uncover the gifts he left behind
that are indestructible and rightfully ours.

Time is now our best friend
for it is the only remedy for grief
and with each passing day
that God awful rubble will recede
and the shovels we wield 
will less tax our weary muscles,
and eventually,
with our memories safe and warm
in our hungry embrace,
the twister that stole so much
from two sisters

I worked with Peter at Sony for a decade.  He was the nicest gentleman I knew.  We always chatted and he always brought a smile to my face after speaking with him.  May you rest in peace Peter.  

My deepest sympathy to Peters family.  He was a caring man and a good friend. He will be missed.
