Born and raised in New York City, Patricia Walsh lived most of her life in Astoria and Sunnyside in Queens. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward F. Walsh of Brooklyn, and many beloved friends. She is survived by her daughter Susan and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia’s love of books and reading sustained her through several months of illness until her last day with us on Earth. Although she held many jobs over her 50-year career as a bookkeeper, she felt that one of her greatest achievements was teaching her daughter to read by age 3. Patricia was a happy participant in the Sunnyside Book and Media swap. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local library, neighborhood book swap, or other organization that promotes the love of reading and literacy.
