by her parents(Betty and Otto Trottner).She is survived by several cousins.
Norma was born on March 2, 1934 in Astoria, New York and baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church.
She grew up in Elmhurst,New York, attended PS 89 and graduated from Newtown High School in 1951.
Upon graduation she attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Manhattan.
From there she went on to work 25 years for General Electric and ended her career working for Arthur Anderson Consulting.
Brownies and Girl Scouts played an important part in her childhood. In high school and after, she was active in the The Walther League,a Lutheran youth organization. A highlight was attending their National Convention in Ames,Iowa. As a young woman she was part of a group called YAF, Young Adult Fellowship , where she was responsible for inviting guest speakers to discuss current events.
As an adult, she sang with the Liederkranz Club for many years.
Norma enjoyed traveling and visited many different places such as Bermuda,California and Montana. In later years she made several trips to Germany visiting relatives and sightseeing.
Norma was a woman of strong faith.Bethany Lutheran Church played an important part in her life where she was an active member.She enjoyed the fellowship and sense of belonging. She was involved in many things from teaching Sunday School to washing dishes after a church dinner. Norma found much joy and peace at Bethany.
She will be missed by family and friends. May she Rest In Peace.
