She was born on October 8th, 1918 in New York City to the late Daniel and Margaret O’Leary (nee Meany).
She was one of 6 children. She had 3 sisters and 2 brothers - Catherine, Ann, Dennis, Margaret and Daniel, all of whom have preceded her in death.
Mary had a fulfilling career as a legal secretary up until her retirement when she was in her eighties.
She is survived by her 6 nieces and nephews, and her 8 grand nieces and nephews. She was delighted with all of them in that that her room was filled with all their pictures.
She loved baseball, especially The Yankees – in her opinion, the only “real” team in town.
One defining characteristic of Mary was her devotion to the Catholic faith. She loved St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church and was a parishioner there for 68 years.
She was a great Aunt, a great friend and overall a great person. She will be sorely missed.
MAY SHE REST IN PERFECT PEACE!
