Mary Ann O'Brien Kerins

Mary Ann Elizabeth Louise O'Brien Kerins, aged 58, passed away on October 24, 2024, in Queens, NY. Born on December 23, 1965, Mary lived a vibrant life characterized by her outgoing and lively personality. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend to many.

Mary dedicated her professional life to serving others, first as a superintendent with Bell Realty Management Corp and then as a server at O'Neill's Maspeth. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her passion for life and love for her family.

A devout attendee of B.V.M Help of Christians (St. Mary's Woodside, N.Y.), Mary's faith was an essential part of her life. She found joy in her hobbies, notably as an avid NY Mets fan, which often saw her cheering enthusiastically for her team.

Mary's love for her cats, Coco Chanel and Louis Vuitton was well-known, and she could often be found enjoying her time with them at her home in Woodside. Her presence at gatherings was marked by her love of dancing and her ability to be the life of the party, always encouraging those around her to embrace life with the same zest she did.

She is survived by her children, Thomas T.J. Kerins and Emily Kerins; her siblings, Eileen Daly, Margaret O’ Connor, Louise Lynch, Denise O’Brien, Noreen O’Brien Duggan, Shelia O’ Brien, Michael O'Brien, Patrick O'Brien, James O'Brien, Brendan O'Brien, and Donal O'Brien & her in-laws, Donnie and Maura Kerins and Niece and Nephew, Fionnuala & Ryan Kerins. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, John Paul O'Brien.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating Mary's life at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home, 141-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY, on October 29th and 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral will be held at B.V.M. Help of Christians Church, 70-21 47th Avenue, Woodside, NY, on Thursday, October 31st, at 10 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple, Mary's favorite color, or colorful clothes, in her honor.
