Martha Berry-Briguglio

Martha Jane Berry-Briguglio, 83, of New York City passed away on November 21, 2017. She was born in New Jersey on August 10, 1934 to Daniel Smead Berry Sr. and Ruth McIntosh Berry. She graduated from Cranford High School and received her B.A. from Chestnut Hill College.

Martha was married to Philip Briguglio on December 24, 1990. She and Phil enjoyed many trips to Italy; she was also an avid fan of U.S. Open tennis, a regular theatergoer, and lover of the arts. Martha was an elementary school teacher for 40 years and spent most of that career in Larchmont, NY. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister Katherine Berry Andersen, sister-in-law Carolyn Berry, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her brother, Daniel Smead Berry, Jr. and brother-in-law Donald Andersen.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 ~ 10:30 on Friday December 1st 2017, at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home 35-20 Broadway, Long Island City, New York, 11106, Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. St. Joseph’s R.C. Church 43-19 30th Avenue, Astoria, New York, Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 72-02 Astoria Blvd. East Elmhurst, New York, Immediately following the Funeral Mass.
