Jo Ann Garramone

Loving and Beloved wife of Mario, Beloved mother of Joseph, Nicole, Rocco & Candace. Devoted daughter of Vera Haynes, Dear sister of Florence Spoleti, Cherished grandmother of Erianna Nicole and Alessandra Paola.

Jo Ann was born July 20, 1957 to Vera Germano Haynes and the late Joseph Haynes. Jo Ann grew up here in Astoria and attended Long Island City High School where she met and eventually married the love of her life Mario on July 25, 1976.

Jo Ann had a career in Professional Medical Service as the Admissions Director at the New York Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Jo Ann had a passion for spending time with her family, walking outdoors, and spending time at the beach. She also took great pride in her career continually serving her hometown of Astoria.

Her life will be celebrated at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home on Monday September 12 and a Funeral Mass on Tuesday September 13 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Astoria; followed by entombment at St. Micheal’s Cemetery, East Elmhurst.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ovarian Cancer Foundation T.E.A.L. would be greatly appreciated.
