George Rivera of 546 Main Street New York, N.Y. (Roosevelt Island) 10044 passed away on June 21, 2017. He was born in New York, N.Y. on June 19, 1948. He was married to Myrian Medina on June 29, 1977. George Rivera was a member of the US Air Force and served in Vietnam from 1966-1970. He then worked as a Police Officer for the N.Y.C. Transit Police Department for 12 years from 1973-1985. George had a passion for fishing, creating stained glass designs, playing his guitar and helping his neighbors and the elderly. He was survived by his Son George Kahlil Rivera, his Wife of many years Myrian Medina and his special friend Lorraine Williams.
