Age 86, of Woodbury, passed away October 25, 2021. Tom was a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Tom was a strong and faithful man who loved God, his family and friends, and the communities in which he lived and worked. He led by example and possessed a strength of character that was admired by many. Tom was also a very compassionate and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Frank E. and Hazel Grim Ewing, brothers Arthur and Donald, and sisters Frances and Janet. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Dixie; brother, Ray (Bettye) Ewing; sister Betty (Ted) York; his children, Thomas Ewing Jr., Jeannette (Peter) Douglas, Roxane (Mike) Nelson, Darrin (Susan) Ewing, Jeff (Diane) Hrastich, and Tom (Renae) Hrastich; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00AM at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125. Luncheon to follow the service at the church. Tom’s family would like to thank our public safety department and the wonderful and gifted medical staff and EMTs that took such good care of him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Woodbury Community Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project, or to the donor’s preferred charitable organization.
