Age 61, of Woodbury, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Theresa was preceded in death by her Parents, Thomas and Dorothy Tweed. Theresa is survived by her Sisters, Deborah “Debbie” (William) Danell, Lynne (Gary) Schendel; Nieces, Lydia (Tim) Simmons, Sheri (Jon) Ogden, Tracy (Jason) Florek, Heather (William) Gaetz; Nephews, Craig and Thomas Danell; several Great-Nieces; and many extended Family and Friends who will miss her deeply.
Terry spent most of her life helping other people when they were most in need. Ever since she was little, she knew she wanted to be a nurse. She had a little white pinafore and cap with a red cross on them. Nursing was her passion and she dedicated thirty years of her work life to being an outstanding RN at Children’s Hospital in Saint Paul. Her caring nature brought comfort and relief to the families of her patients, as well, and she got to know and care about many of them outside their time of need
In her personal life, Terry got off to a glamorous start. She was born overseas, in Orleans, France. Did you know she was a citizen of two countries? Had nursing been an Olympic sport, she could have been on either the French or American team. Did you know she was born on her mother’s birthday? Maybe that’s why her addition to the family always felt like a gift. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend. Her smile will be missed more than she could know.
In addition to her family, her friends and her vital work, Terry loved jewelry, a good laugh, her collection of beautiful dolls, her relaxing Lake Pepin getaway home on the Mississippi and dining out, especially with any sauce you can imagine.
Terry, you were a joy in your personal life, an example and comfort to many others in your profession, and you will be in our hearts and memories forever.
Please in lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to American Cancer Society
