Her many roles included teacher, mother, caretaker and friend to all who knew her, including her several lifelong friends. A generous soul, she was always willing to help others, and remained fiercely independent until her passing. Shirley will remain in the hearts of her three daughters: Cori (Rich) Robinett, Dena (Rodney) Jackson and Linda (Scott) Rolfes; six grandchildren: Krystal Ward, Joseph Robinett, Nick Jackson, Sebastian Williams, Daniel Robinett and Jessica Robinett; two great-granddaughters, Maile & Keira Ward; brothers Rich (Corrine) Nelson, Stan (Darlene) Nelson and Carl (Bonnie) Feary; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Chuck, parents Walter and Elizabeth (Addison) Nelson, sister Marion (Kent) Daley, brother Norm (Bozenka) Nelson.
Shirley’s life will be celebrated with Visitation starting at 10:00 am, Service at 11:00 am and lunch to follow on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125.
