Sammy Michael Drake

He was born on December 6, 1946, in Alliance, Ohio.

Samuel, a Veteran, proudly served his country as a member of the US Army, 25th Infantry from 1968 to 1970. He fought in the Vietnam War where he was combat wounded. He was honorably discharged and a reciever of the Purple Heart.

He married Rose Samek in 1973 and had two children, whom he later divorced.

Samuel was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Drake, Florida and his mother Lucy DiFalco, California; his sister, Diana Moore, Florida and his brother, John Drake, Ohio.

Samuel is survived by his loving daughters, Robyn Drake and Kelly Drake both of Minnesota, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their father; Brothers Dennis Drake of Ohio, and Kenneth Drake of California, and a sister Mary Brown of Florida. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Kassandra and Makx, who brought immense joy to his life.

There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date. Burial of Sammy's urn will take place Monday, May 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
