We at the City of Afton were very fortunate that when we needed 
an Office Assistant Pat was looking for a part-time position.  While his background in banking and I.T. made him well over qualified for the position, he was willing to share his expertise with the City and we were more than willing to accept it.  Pat's main responsibility was customer service, which was an excellent match for his friendly, helpful and caring personality.   He made a great first impression on everyone who came to City Hall.   I looked forward every day to Pat's " Top o' the mornin'!" greeting, and will always remember Pat's smiling face with a twinkle in his eye as he said it.   He will be missed.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Uncle Pat. He always made me laugh and I loved visiting with him when we would both visit Kansas. 
Connie will always remember the party in the car we all had on the way to dinner. 

You'll be missed by so many people.

Pat and I first met in the hallway heading towards Peter O’Neil Hall. Pat’s booming, “Top of the Morning “ greeting - caught my attention. We chatted and then always said Hi when we saw each other.  In 2014 we were asked to be Co-Chairs for the Fall Festival. The previous Co-Chairs had done great work in creating a guide book.  We followed that and used our meetings to get to know one another. 
Knowing Pat and his darling Ilona was good for Sheila and me. 

I am a better man because of Pat’s: Attitude, Ability to see the positive, Adaptability to changing circumstances.  He, and Ilona, are LOVE in person. 

Pat always made the day brighter when he would walk in my office at church with his cheery “Top of the morning “ greeting. His smile and attitude he shared with everyone. He will be missed.

My memories of Pat are great.  He always was kind and welcoming when he saw me at church.  Such a gentle soul.  He will be greatly missed!

Pat was a great boss and friend.  I will always remember his great hugs whenever we were able to get the team together after we left First Star Bank. 

He was a man with a huge heart and loved his family.  His huge heart showed when he was informed his team was being let go.  He could not come back down to his office and see us the night he found out and also could not be the one to give us the news we were being down sized.
He didn’t want to see us go.

Heaven gained a giant teddy bear of a man.
Ilona and girls my heart breaks.  May memories lift you in the days to come.  
Hope you  toast him with some of his special brew.

Always enjoyed visiting with Cousin Pat. Prayers for Pat and family.

Pat was one of the first people to make an impression when we began attending Guardian Angels many years ago.  He was friendly, enthusiastic and quite a conversationalist.  His cheerful disposition and positive attitude will be missed by the church community.

Pat was a good friend and a good guy . He served Afton in a big way with his humor and knowledge. He also ate smelt with me in Wisconsin.

Pat was the happiest man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His “Top of the morning” phone greeting always made my day. His faith was strong and he was proud  of his church and his involvement in it. Even with his various health problems he always could summon a smile for anyone. Please accept my condolences.
