Of Oakdale, MN was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Lori and her husband William “Billy” G. Sobania, 48, were riding in the annual Flood Run event with friends when they were hit by a vehicle pulling into oncoming traffic. Lori was born April 7, 1960 in Rochester, MN to Warren and Sharon Warfield. She graduated from Mayo Senior High School in 1978, where she was a member of the Spartan Spirit Drill team. She was employed for many years at Pace Dairy in Rochester before marrying and moving to Oakdale where she was employed at Land O’ Lakes in Woodbury, MN. Lori married Billy Sobania on December 4, 2005. Lori was a homemaker, enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband, gardening and working in the yard, and spending time with her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband Billy; daughters Vanessa and Lauren Hofland; Billy’s daughters Kelley and Laura Sobania; parents Warren and Sharon Warfield; sister Sheryl Warfield; brother Kenneth Warfield; two nieces Lindsey and Haley Cook. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and younger sister Lynn Cook. The funeral service for Lori was delayed pending Billy’s subsequent release from the hospital. A memorial service will be held 1:30PM on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at HOPE EVANGELICAL CHURCH, 7910 15th St. North, Oakdale, MN 55128. In lieu of flowers memorials honoring Lori’s passing will help support the future of her two daughters.
