Thompson, Jacqueline M. “Jackie” (nee Frost), 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Jackie was a true matriarch providing a loving home for her family that extended to include her brother and sisters families, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Jackie along with her husband of nearly 67 years, Bruce were longtime residents of St. Paul’s east side before moving to Woodbury in retirement. Jackie was Johnson high school homecoming queen in 1952 before a fulfilling career with 3M, St. Paul parks and recreation and the St. Paul health department. Jackie was loved for her welcoming and adventurous spirit, love of family gatherings and passion for family pets.
Jackie is preceded in death by husband Bruce, father George and mother Frances Frost and brother David. She is survived by sons Bruce (Patty) and Eric (Shelly), daughter Karin (Paul) Misiewicz, Sisters Janet (Frank Smigaj), Susan Frost and Fran (Paul) Kill, grandsons Bruce/BJ (Kelly), Andrew (Haleigh), Tyler (Mollie) and Tory Thompson, Bill (Kerri) and Dan Haslach and 5 great grandchildren Kenzie, Grady, Kendall, Miles and Eloise. Also many extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held on April 22, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Woodbury, with a visitation starting at 9:00 am. Private burial beside Bruce at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
