Amy was a genuinely good and caring person and I was lucky enough to get to know her best these last few years. In that time, I learned how much she truly cared about her family and everyone around her. She always made a point to ask me how I was doing and how school was, which meant the world to me. I truly appreciated how much she genuinely cared and was interested in what was going on in my life. I am going to miss all the times I was able to talk to her about school, my goals, and what classes I liked and didn’t like and enjoyed hearing about some of her experiences as well. Her kindness showed through in the way she took care of her family. I am confident that this and her many other great attributes will be carried on through her daughters and grandchildren.



I remember meeting Amy for the first time at my wedding when she was just eighteen years old. I still have a picture of her wearing a blue dress that was taken that night. She was so happy!  That’s how I’ll always remember her. She was a hard worker, fun, honest, and most of all she loved her family. I truly believe that she is happy in Heaven and her family will continue to feel her love throughout their lives.  

I worked with Amy at Securian. She was so nice & helpful. She will be missed.

Fifty-three years ago I got to hold my sister's new baby girl, Amy Caroline. She was as sweet as can be and her calm serenity helped calm my nervous arms. Years came and went and Amy, along with her siblings, Sarah and "Little Billy", gave us Wagners many warm memories of watching them grow. Then about two years ago, I reconnected with Amy who was now in the fight of her life. I was feeling somewhat anxious about this visit not knowing what I could say or do to help her. I should have known better; Amy's calm serenity remained her strength . How wonderful for all of us to know that Amy's memory can live on within us.

I was lucky enough to become a part of Amy’s family as a Sister-in-Law and even luckier to call her my sister.  I never looked at her as an in-law and am honored to have known such a wonderful person.  She made me an Aunt to two beautiful nieces and was such a great Mom which shows through in her daughters.  Amy was also a devoted Grandma to her grandchildren and I know that she is watching over her entire family.  I will forever miss her and know that she has her angel’s wings.

The first time I met Amy I knew I liked her from the beginning she was so kind and so accepting and loved everybody just like her sister Sarah Powell-Mathews GOD HAS RECEIVED A BEAUTIFUL ANGEL 

Dear Jani, Tom, Sarah, Billy, Amy's daughters Mandi and Jamie along with your children.  I have loving memories of my niece Amy growing up in the Wagner household in Caledonia and visits to Hokah MN.  Amy and Sarah were like salt and pepper, and of course Billy the bouncing little brother.  Amy was a quiet and peaceful soul, and she was strong to the end.  I am so sorry for the sad passing of Amy.  God understands your grief and will never leave you.

Amy touched all those around her in her sweet, caring way.  She nurtured a loving family, as well as an abundance of friends & co-workers.  In doing so, she became not only a treasure herself, but one who has left us a treasure of fond memories. We are all richer for having known her. Amy was a bright light in my working life.  So helpful and positive.  A great lady!  I remember sharing doggie stories as I too am a doggie mom.  She loved her family, including her fur babies.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Hugs.  Jonell Kelm

I was fortunate to have Amy as my friend for over 20 years. I have many memories from our trips to Laughlin & Door County, concerts we attended and Twins games we went to.   I miss her tremendously but am thankful for the time I was able to share with her.   She was a great person and even greater friend. RIP my friend. Until we see each other again. ❤❤❤

I will always remember our adventure at The Rolling Stones concert  Cheryl you and I went too, between the rain and the long wait for the rail  on the way back,  we still had a great time.  Whenever I hear a song from them I think of that concert. We will miss you.  Prayers and hugs to your family.

I just want to say I’m going to miss you so much! But I’ll never forget the memories of us growing up together, we really had some great times ! All of us close like brothers and sisters,, always at each other’s houses, playing games, riding bikes, and of course running up the hill and down the hill! I am so sorry to hear Amy has passed!! We graduated together, along with Sarah, and I remember laughing with her often and what a fun, thoughtful, and kind person she was.  We will be thinking of you this year at our 35th class reunion.  Rest in peace, Amy!!!

I have fond memories as kids just playing together and hanging out at uncle Tom's, but now my fondest memories of Amy was getting the chance to know Amy again and meet her wonderful family, her daughters, and her grandchildren.
