Ronald Philip Jacob Kendall was born in Beresina District north of Churchbridge, Saskatchewan on July 10, 1934. He was the fourth born of five children to Philip and Mollie (nee Dressler) Kendall. Ron received his education at the Dressler School and Edmonton Concordia College.
When Ron returned home he had an opportunity to start working with the Canadian Pacific Railway in Saskatchewan and Manitoba travelling to numerous places over a few years and obtaining a permanent position in Broadview. Soon he met a young beautiful telephone operator (Barbara Bohn) whom he fell in love with and became his wife on June 21, 1958. He worked for the CPR for almost 35 years and then as assistant manager at the Broadview Co-op for 10 years. He worked a few more years for the Broadview Housing Authority until he retired.
Ron had a strong relationship with the Lord and was involved with many parts of the church in Broadview. He was a big fan and very involved in golfing. He had a chance to take his golfing career to the next level but declined and chose to stay in the community and raise his family here.
Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and leaves his family to mourn his passing and to celebrate his life his wife Barbara of Broadview; his son Gary (Teresa) of Creston, BC; son Darren of Broadview; 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Ron also leaves his sister Joyce Poier of London, Ont. and Sharon (Dave) Thompson of Elmwood Park, Illinois.
Ron was predeceased by his parents; his son Tim; and brothers and sisters: Marjorie, Donna, David, Lawrence and Florence.
