Meta White

Meta Eileen White (nee Hall ) of Wolseley, Saskatchewan passed away at Lakeside Home on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 91 years of age. Meta was predeceased by her husband, Delbert in 1994; brother Ted Hall and sister Phyllis Nelson. She is survived by her family: Dr. Gill (Donna) White and their family; Kelsie (Ryan Neilson) and their son Brennan; Braden (Leah) White, Alison (Fred) Schaan and their family; Melanie (Shawn) Horsman, Jordan (Jeanine) Schaan and Tracy Schaan; Lawrence (Violeta) White and their son, Ryan and numerous nieces and nephews. Meta was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Rita (nee Laurie) Hall. She graduated from Saskatoon City Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. Meta married Delbert White in 1947 and together they operated the grocery store in Wolseley. They travelled extensively with the IGA group. Meta was involved in the United Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. In subsequent years, she was supportive of Circle Square Ranch and the Wolseley New Life Church. A celebration of Meta's life will be held for family and friends at Wolseley New Life Church on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. John Dolter officiating. Lunch to follow.
