Judy was a hard worker and worked in various finance and administration positions throughout her career starting in the 1970s with SIFC which became FN Univ Canada. Prior to that she was trained as a hair stylist. She also worked with the FSIN and QVIDA on land claims before furthering her education and moving home to Cowessess First Nation. She continued to work in different positions for Cowessess including Director of Finance, Housing and Crooked Lake Homes until her retirement in 2011.
She was a fierce supporter and advocate for our young people and spent much of her time talking to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sharing her life experiences with them and providing advice and guidance.
She had fun spending time with her sisters and cousins visiting and laughing. She loved to play cards, putting together puzzles and loving her cat and companion, Tabitha Grace.
She had a wonderful and loving relationship with her daughter who she often referred to as her one and only. Anyone who knew Judy knew she lived and breathed for her daughter and that it was the two of them against the world.
Many people were touched by Judy's kindness and generosity - go out and do a good deed in her memory.
In keeping with Judy's wishes, no formal service will be held.
