Hilda Fuchs

It is with much love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Hilda Fuchs (nee Schlamp) on December 11, 2022 with family by her side at the age of 97 years.

Hilda was born to Jacob and Katherine Schlamp on September 11,1925 in Grenfell, Saskatchewan. She married Jacob Fuchs on April 25,1943 and they resided in Broadview for most of their lives.

Hilda’s life revolved around cooking and baking. She was well known for her famous cinnamon buns and homemade pies. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved nothing more than their visits where she always had a table full of food with a care package to go. She enjoyed her time with her coffee ladies and her door was always open for coffee and goodies.

In 2017 Hilda moved to Esterhazy where she looked forward to her daily visits from her “girls” and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hilda was predeceased by her loving husband Jacob; son Donald; siblings: Philip, John, Carolina and George and many close friends.

Hilda will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law Rita; daughters Sharon (Ron) and Elaine (Dale); grandchildren: Todd (Joely), Kim (Regan), Cory (Brenda), Derek (Kristina), Ali (Allan), Trisha (Randy), Tanis (Derek) and Jeff (Rachel); great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Jensen, Aiden, Presley, Emma, Isabella, Nigel, Wyatt, Tyler, Sophia, Violet, Taylor, Paige, Ava, Ty, Kenley and Kason; sister-in-law Dorothy Fuchs and numerous nieces.

A family service was held.
