George William Urschel

October 25, 1917 – May 1, 2014

It is with sadness, the family of George William Urschel announces his passing in Broadview Union Hospital on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the age of 96 years.

George will be lovingly remembered by his five children: Don (Wendy) Urschel, Carolyn (Arnold) Ortt, Brian (Lynn) Urschel, Alan (Judy) Urschel and Leona (Ed) Johnston; thirteen grandchildren: Debbie Peterson, Paul (Tracy) Urschel, Bruce (Bobbi Jo) Urschel, Colleen (Kevin) Lutz, Jennifer (Bruce) Loveridge, Lauren (Ryan) Maurer, Amanda (Jason) Zaremba, Brent Urschel, Lisa (Jeremy) Seatter, Jason (Kim) Urschel, Travis (Tammy) Urschel, Clay (Kelly) Johnston and Becky (Travis) Page; thirty-four great grandchildren; one sister, Tillie Ruschiensky, two brothers: Albert Urschel and John (Dorothy) Urschel; two sisters-in-law: Alice Wolfe and Clara Wolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Edith (Wolfe); his parents, Adam and Elizabeth Urschel (Wolfe); by his great grandson, Landon Ennis and parents-in-law John and Elizabeth Wolfe. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A celebration of George’s life will be held in the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Grenfell, SK on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bradley Childs officiating. Interment to follow in the Grenfell Cemetary.
