The family of Douglas “Doug” Parsons invites you to attend a celebration of his life at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Grenfell Presbyterian Church located at 811 Alice Street.
Doug cared for his wife of 33 years, Marilyn “Lynn” nee Fowler-Tholl, and his three children William Tholl (Paula), Brenda Tollefson (Dale), Cheryl Mantei (Glenn). Grandpa Doug stitched together memories on the family farm with each of his eight grandchildren: Erica Marleau (Neil Hengeveld), Gavin (Kim) Tholl, Alexa Tholl; Brett Tollefson, Blake Tollefson (Janna Holtz); Christopher (Ashley) Mc-Adam-Mantei; GeoLyn Mantei, KateLyn Mantei (Jesse Wetzloff).
He extended his quiet and patient manner to his eight great-grandchildren: Nicholas Marleau, Julia Marleau, Emily Marleau; Marcus Tholl; Chloe Tollefson; Gertrude Lewis, Daisy Lewis, Pheobe McAdam, Kendrix McAdam, HaiLyn McAdam; Porter Hansen, Pfeiffer Hansen.
Doug is survived by his sister Kathy (Glen) Smith, sister-in-law Mary Parsons, sister-in-law Doreen Parsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John and Mary, brothers Byron and Elgin; sister, Clare Derby, brother-in-law, Howard Derby, and his son, Curtis Tholl.
All in attendance are invited for a light lunch hosted by the Presbyterian Ladies Auxiliary.
