He was predeceased by his parents John (1987) and Ella (Belon) (2023), as well as other extended family members.
Left to honour his memory are: his brother Doug, Houston Texas; his aunt Muriel Belon, Broadview SK; several cousins that he was very close to; special neighbors; coffee buddies and childhood friends that considered him the Bigger brother and Doug the Big brother.
Danny grew up in Whitewood, SK. In high school he enjoyed and excelled in sports, especially track and field, with the javelin throw earning him many ribbons which made his school proud. He spent many years working for Teledyne Explorations which took him to remote locations in Alberta and BC. He also worked for a publishing company in Calgary, eventually returning to Regina to spend his remaining working years at Evraz Place. After retirement he would attend Agribition every year, renewing old acquaintances and friends.
Danny lived a simple life. He enjoyed gardening, tending his mother’s flowers, helping neighbors and watching sports, especially curling and football, donning his Rider jersey and attending games at Mosaic stadium. Danny also looked forward to visiting Mosaic, Festival of Cultures, Kiev Pavillion at Evraz Place for the displays, programs and plates of fresh perogies for his mother and himself. He was a devoted son to his mother, enabling her to live in her home until her passing at the age of 102 years.
He will be laid to rest with his parents in the Grenfell cemetery with a private graveside service.
