McKAY, Dana Louise"Weezie" (Singing Thunderbird Woman)July 1, 1981 - July 29, 2012It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Dana Louise"Weezie" McKay. She left suddenly on July 29, 2012 at the age of 31 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her Paternal Great Grandparents, Peter and Gertie McKay; Grandparents, James and Anges McKay; Infant son, Mckayland Wayne James Eagles. Maternal Great Grandparents Jim and Kenny Kequahtooway; Grandparents, Gordon and Georgina Kequahtooway; Dana is survived by her loving parents Marshall and Phyllis McKay; loving companion Garett Eagles; her loving children Landon McKay, Blaze Geraille, Patricia Pelletier, Ryan McKay, Rhythem McKay, Island Mckay, Garett McKay. She is also survived by her siblings Eric Kequahtooway (Bonnie): Tina (Cory) Perkins; Donovan Kequahtooway, Tanya Kequahtooway, Avison McKay (Charly), Ruth McKay (Kelly); Tabin McKay (Brandy) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Dana was born in Regina at the Pasqua Hospital. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 with feast at 12:00 and services at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Fred Keshane and Elders officiating. The wake will be held Wednesday, August 1st at 4:00 p.m. with services at 7:00 p.m. All services will be held in the Community Complex on the Sakimay First Nation. Interment will be at the United Church Cemetery.
