Avayah Lashay Hotomani-Banow, Peyak Piwakonis Awasis - Snow Flake Child of Grenfell, Saskatchewan died on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 3 months.
Avayah is survived by her parents, Shawna Hotomani and Christopher Banow; her siblings: Kineesha, Kyra (Alan), Jenayah, Kenyon, Kaleb, Kerwin and Chrishawn; her grandfather Alvin Kequahtooway and her very special uncle Aaron Kequahtooway.
The wake was held in the Sakimay Complex, Sakimay First Nation on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held in the Sakimay Complex on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Alvin Kay and Elder Sam Isaac officiating. Interment followed in Sakimay United Church Cemetery.
